Analysis: Indian cricket team for tri series

Indian selectors at last took a wonderful decision by not taking seniors into the one day team for tri-series in Australia. They have not picked senior players like Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S.Laxman for the one day and 20-20 matches in Australia. India will play one 20-20 cricket match against Australia, followed by the triangular series which includes Australia and Sri Lanka.

Selectors at last put faith on youngsters like Suresh Raina, Robin Sharma and Praveen Kumar.
Virender Sehwag and Irfan Pathan kept their places due to their performance in Perth test while Dinesh Karthik retained despite indifferent form.
