Detroit Tigers

The Detroit Tigers are a Major League Baseball team based in Detroit, Michigan. The Tigers are in the American League Central Division and are the current American League Champions. Since 1992 the team, operating as Detroit Tigers, Inc., a subsidiary of Ilitch Holdings, Inc., has been owned by Mike Ilitch, founder of Little Caesars Pizza and owner of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings. The Tigers are the reigning American League champions, having defeated Oakland, 4 games to none in the 2006 American League Championship Series. They lost to the St. Louis Cardinals, 4 games to 1 in the 2006 World Series. The club is a charter member of the American League, one of four clubs (with the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, and Cleveland Indians) still located in its city of founding. Detroit is also the only member of the Western League, the AL's minor league predecessor, that remains in its original city. It was established as a charter member in 1894. Full Article on Wikipedia

Kuznetsova upset at Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) -Svetlana Kuznetsova had a succinct explanation after losing her opening match at the BNP Paribas Open. "The tennis ball is perfect. I am not perfect," the top-seeded Russian said after a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 loss to Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro in the second round Saturday. Kuznetsova, who hadn't played in a month and had a first-round bye, made 69 unforced errors and

66 of 82: No Television Coverage

Another game with no TV. Taking on the Hawks. You'd automatically expect this to be a loss, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them pull it off. The offense has really been coming along these last 5 games, putting up alot of points. 5 games where Max has started in place of Ben. Coincidence? Of course the defense has been worse, but things have really opened up by having a scoring threat at the 5.

65 of 82: Keep rolling along

I think this season hasn't only dragged on for the coaches and players, but for Pistons fans as well. It's been tough. Hell, it has downright sucked. But, I still watch when I can, trying to find promise in something. At this point, it's not about winning games. In fact, as Vinnie has been saying for months, it's better if they keep losing games, close, exciting competitive, or in a blowout fashion. I still would rather watch them at least play well and be competitive while I watch. But it definitely doesn't matter if the win or lose to me now.

Jonas Jerebko, the athlete

I just recently came across this article about Jonas from way back what must have been October. Some really cool things describing Jonas' predraft workout with the Pistons. Thought some of you might find it interesting. Sorry if this was posted back in October. If it was, I didn't read it. But even if it was, it's kind of cool to go back and read what the Pistons saw in Jonas after the type of season he's had as a second round rookie.

Henin wins first-round match at Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) -Justin Henin beat Magdalena Rybarikova, 6-2, 6-2, in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open on Wednesday. Henin, the former No. 1 who is playing in this tournament for the first time since 2006, was the top-ranked player on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour when she unexpectedly retired in May, 2008. She returned to the tour in January and was runner-up at Brisbane and

Stuckey: Play him or sit him?

So what you're thoughts on the whole Stuckey situation? I personally want him on the floor. I like to watch him play. I want him to get as much time as possible running the point, building chemistry with the new additions. As far as I'm concerned, if the Doctors say he's OK., get him on the floor. Of course if there's any hint of a problem, I want him and the team to be as cautious as possible, but until; they can pinpoint a problem, give him the ball.

64 of 82: Singing the Blues

... while playing the Jazz. I believe Stuckey will be sitting this game out as well. Utah has been playing some really good basketball in recent weeks but they've also had a few inexplicable hiccups against poor teams on the road, like the Kings and Clippers. And it's a second of a back-to-back for them. Let's hope the Pistons come out with some good energy and play above themselves. I see Rip having a solid game and let's try to get Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva going. Jazz 101 Pistons 106

63 of 82: The Bynum and Maxiell show

So tonight we get Will Bynum backed by Chucky Atkins at the point and Maxiell and Kwame holding down the paint.
