Edmonds to the Cubs?
According to a report in the Chicago Tribune on Monday morning the Cubs are "exploring the possibility" of signing Jim Edmonds "according to some in the know". The Padres designated Edmonds for assignment on Friday after a slow start to the season. Bruce Levine mentioned the possibility of the Cubs signing Jim Edmonds during his show on Saturday morning and described the team's interest as being "luke warm".
