Vor knapp zwei Jahren hatte ich davon im Radio gehört und war etwas entsetzt. Heute morgen habe ich es mit eigenen Augen im Fernsehen gesehen und es tat schon ein wenig weh zu sehen, wie ein Golfplatz zweckentfremdet wird.

Heute habe ich im Münsterland den wunderschönen Parklandcourse des GLC Coesfeld gespielt. Es erwartete uns eine 6127 (von gelb, PAR 73) lange Strecke (6 PAR 5 Löcher) mit 18 abwechslungsreichen und herausfordernden Spielbahnen.Eine echte Perle. Der Pflegezustand des Platzes und das Wetter war perfekt. Die schönste Runde, die ich in diesem Jahr gespielt habe.(Und welcher Trottel hat seine Kamera zu Hause vergessen, so daß ich keine Bilder liefern kann? Genau, ich!)

In letzter Zeit sind hier vereinzelt Kommentare (und auch Trackbacks) aufgeschlagen, die aus meiner Sicht den einen Zweck verfolgen, einen Link auf die eigene Seite abzusetzen. Das kann man im Backend ganz gut verfolgen.Auch ne Art von Spam, die natürlich auffällt, Ihr Ferkelwämser.Und ich habe echt keinen Bock drauf, jedesmal die URL von Hand aus dem Kommentar zu löschen oder die Kommentare ganz zu entfernen.

Talentbedingt habe ich bei Turnieren mit den Sonderwertungen normalerweise absolut nichts zu tun.Ein einziges Mal habe ich beim Herrennachmittag “Nearest to the Pin” gewonnen, als mein schlecht getroffener Ball vom linken Hügel neben dem Grün absprang und wie von Zauberhand gesteuert 60 Zentimeter neben der Fahne liegen blieb.Und als jemand der, immer knapp an der Lady vorbei, seine Abschläge kurz hinter den roten Abschlägen ins Spiel bringt, brauche ich mir um den “Longest Drive” auch keine ernsthaften Gedanken machen.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich da besonders empfindlich bin und nur ich solche Sachen als störend empfinde. Es gibt immer wieder so Experten im Flight, die schaffen es mich voll um meine Konzentration zu bringen. Die machen die ganze Runde wiederholt irgendwelche Sachen, die nicht zu einer ordentlichen Golfrunde gehören und mich ärgern. Ich verhaue dann Schläge und das kostet am Ende Punkte.

Last season, the Titans defense ranked 30th allowing 4.6 yards per carry. Through three preseason games, the Titans have allowed only 2.4 yards per carry. Coach Jeff Fisher says his defense has responded to coaches and concentrated on details. "We've been more specific in gap fits, we've done a better job on the edge forcing (runners) back inside," Fisher said. "We're stressing discipline on the backside, we're not as vulnerable on the backside.

Following protests from other teams in the LV County Championship Division One, the ECB has decided to award 4 points to Worcestershire and Kent for the abandoned match at New Road this month. The game will not be re-arranged as originally envisaged.
