Howard's Vitamin Water Commercial
The much publicized Dwight Howard Vitamin Water commercial is starting to make its way on to televisions. OK, I saw it in a movie theater.
The schtick is he and other athletes are training to be Russian Cosmonauts with a salty old veteran telling them they will need more than Vitamin Water. He is consistently and clearly outclassed by these superior athletes -- and their nutritional drink.
In Howard's small segment he is put in a room with the oxygen getting sucked out and he has to jump and pull a lever to make it fill the room again.
Superman saves his skin -- in his usual Under Armour -- and makes the cosmonaut go flying through the air.
The final shot is of the whole bunch of athletes walking onto a spaceship and Howard is simply too tall to ever be considered for space flight. Sorry, buddy.
Howard is becoming a little bit of an endorser -- Greg Oden has nothing on him... wait for the perfume.
His commercial and cover appearance on the latest edition of NBA Ballerz was his first real foray into widespread endorsements. His ballhandling moves in that commercial are ridiculously good -- read: for a guy his size who never has to dribble the ball.
It was good seeing the Magic getting some good publicity. Where have the 20 years gone?
