Rebels End Fratmen Season

July 20, 2008

The Windsor AKO Fratmen fell to the Six Nations Rebels 10-4 tonight in game four of the best of five western conference semi-final series. The Rebels win the series 3-1. In the end the defending national champions were too much for the upstart Fratmen. The Rebels capitalized on Fratmen errors, and that, in a nutshell, defined this series. When you play a very good team like the Rebels, they make you pay for your mistakes. For the young Fratmen they will take this experience forward into the 2009 season. The Rebels will now meet the Elora Mohawks for the western conference championship.

Brett Hickey scored three goals to lead the Fratmen attack. Lucas Brouillard had the other Fratmen goal. Brendan Stevenson and Erik McLaren shared the goaltending duties for the Fratmen.

For four Fratmen players tonight was the end of the line for their Junior careers. Moving on are Andrew Ryckman, Andrew Soulliere, Andrew Sokolowski and Drew St. Louis. The Fratmen wish them well in their future endeavors.

The Fratmen Lacrosse Club wish to thank all of their fans, sponsors and media partners for their tremendous support over the 2008 season. Without you we would not be able to play the game we love.
