Rushing to finish as dark clouds gathered over the Blue Monster, Els made one last birdie for a 6-under 66 and a one-shot lead over Robert Allenby before heavy rain temporarily halted play Friday in the CA Championship. Eighteen players had to wait nearly three hours before they could resume the second round. When it finally ended, Els had his first lead after any round on U.S. soil since he won the Honda Classic two years ago.

I am a 70-year-old senior. Winter handicap is an 8. Summer handicap 4-5. I recently shifted to a Taylor Made 580 ladies driver. Last week I missed my first fairway in 52 attempts. So needless to say I am quite fond of the driver. My question is i have never been able to hit fairway woods. Right now I am using a 13 degree hyprid. Should I switch it to a ladies shaft? Ron

Another game with no TV. Taking on the Hawks. You'd automatically expect this to be a loss, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them pull it off. The offense has really been coming along these last 5 games, putting up alot of points. 5 games where Max has started in place of Ben. Coincidence?
