Steven Jackson not making friends in St Louis
There is a growing rift between Rams fans and RB Steven Jackson over some comments he made about the hometown fans who sold their tickets last year to visiting Steelers and Packers fans. He's an outspoken young man, and I admire him for speaking out against what he perceives to be wrong. The Rams were putrid last season, and I haven't seen a lot of fire coming out of anyone else's nostrils.

New Stadiums Set High Bar for St Louis Rams
If St. Louis loses its NFL team after the 2014 season, it can be pinned on the new stadiums being built by the Cowboys and Jets/ Giants. Since these facilities will utilize every sort of revenue-building device available to them, cities such as St. Louis will either have to scramble to find funding to upgrade its football facility or build a new stadium entirely.

The rival San Francisco 49ers have beaten out the Rams for the services of veteran offensive lineman Barry Sims. On Monday, Sims agreed to a two-year free-agent deal with the Niners. Financial terms were not disclosed.Sims, 33, started 119 games, mostly at left tackle, in nine seasons with Oakland before the Raiders released him Feb. 29. He met with coach Scott Linehan, offensive coordinator Al Saunders and offensive line coach Steven Loney on June 13 at Rams Park.

The St. Louis Rams have formed a six-person ticket sales department, coming off a 2007 season that featured the fewest sellouts and the team's worst season since it moved to St. Louis prior to the 1995 season. Michael O'Keefe was named vice president of sales and will oversee the team of six. He has worked with the Rams for 10 years, was previously the team's director of corporate sales and has been responsible for team sponsorships, suite sales and club seats in the past.

Devaney comes to the Rams from Atlanta, where he has worked as the Falcons' assistant general manager in 2006 and '07. Previously, Devaney worked as an analyst for CBS Sports television's pre-game show from 2004-05.He was pro personnel assistant in San Francisco from 2001-03, and was director of player personnel for the San Diego Chargers for 11 seasons from 1990-2000. Devaney's first full-time NFL job was as a scout for the Washington Redskins from 1983-90.
