UC has announced that athletic director Mike Thomas has "not renewed the appointment" of women's track coach Jim Schnur and that assistant coach Susan Seaton has been named interim coach while Schnur's replacement is found. Schnur had been on the UC coaching staff since 1984 and was named women's head coach in 2002. Besides coaching the women, he oversaw the men's team jumpers and combined events competitors. During his time at UC, he trained two All-Americans, nine NCAA qualifiers and 11 conference champions, including five during three years in the Big East.
